About Us

Our mission is to build lasting intergenerational connections through chess while fostering community, learning, joy, and companionship.

Bishop Bridges is a student-led community service organization that connects youth volunteers with residents at a senior living facility through chess, conversation, and shared experiences.

The idea for Bishop Bridges came as the founder’s grandparents moved down the road from them last year. Among many benefits of the move was joy from playing games with older adults while learning so much from their many experiences told through story. Bishop Bridges aims to create that joy in every student and senior resident we bring together.
